Grass Seed

Orders made through our website can be delivered to UK Mainland addresses.
Deliveries to the Scottish Highland, ROI, Northern Ireland and surrounding isles may incur extra charges depending on the postcode and may take between 2-5 days to reach you. If you want delivery to addresses outside of the UK Mainland, please contact us on 01430 449333 for a price and estimated delivery date.

All deliveries to UK mainland postcodes qualify for FREE NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY if ordered and paid for before 1PM. For exclusions and further information about delivery, please visit our Delivery and Returns page.
We endeavour to dispatch orders received before 1PM on the same working day. Orders must be placed and payment processed before 1PM. Where possible, we will process orders placed after 1PM but this is not guaranteed. Next Day Delivery excludes Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays.

We can arrange a variety of different delivery options via our courier. This includes timed delivery, specific day and Saturday delivery. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.

If your order didn’t arrive when expected, please contact us.
It is important that you provide us with details regarding restrictive vehicular access to your delivery address at the time of ordering. We will request our couriers to deliver your order using a suitable vehicle, however, we cannot be held liable should the delivery vehicle not be able to access the delivery address.
You have 14 days from the date of placing your order to cancel it if you have changed your mind, if the product has not been opened or used.
If the seed is damaged through no fault of your own, return carriage will be covered by us. However, if you simply change your mind once the item is delivered, then it is your responsibility to pay the return postage.
Once the item is received and checked by our staff, a full refund will be issued if required.

We do offer some of our products in smaller bags, these include Drought Repair Grass Seed and Patch and Repair Grass Seed. Most of our Agricultural and Equine seed is sold in 1 acre packs and Lawn & Grass seed is sold in 10kg and 20kg quantities.
Our Wildflower seed comes in smaller bags because it only takes a small quantity to cover an area.
All of our seed is packed in tear-resistant polypropylene sacks. The sacks are resistant to damage during shipping.
We recommend using your seed within 2 years of purchase. As long as it is stored correctly in a cool and dry place, grass seed is often usable for several years. All of our grass seed bags are sealed with a green DEFRA label detailing mixture information and the date it was sealed.
Some of our seed mixtures can start to germinate within 3-4 days in perfect conditions. However, 7-10 days is the average. Some species of seed can take a little longer to germinate, so we recommend allowing up to 14 days.
Yes, we can produce bespoke mixtures from our wide range of seed species.
The minimum order weights for bespoke mixes are:
Grass seed: 120kg
Wildflower mixes: 5kg

Yes, we can match or beat any quote.

Credit Card payments are subject to an additional charge of 3% of the total invoice amount. Credit card payments are taken over the phone.

Yes, we can store your seed order at the Greenland Seeds warehouse until you need it, for up to 12 months. To qualify, your order must be paid for in full.

Yes, you can request Next Day delivery at the time of ordering.
Next Day delivery is £30 + VAT on our standard seed mixes.
For a Next Day delivery quote on bespoke mixes and white-label mixes, please contact us.
The courier should inform you on the day that your order is out for delivery. The courier driver should contact you by telephone around 1 hour in advance of your delivery time.
Yes, someone must be available at the delivery address to receive the order, check the order for damage and sign for the delivery.
All wholesale, bulk, custom mix and white-label mixes are delivered on pallets, wrapped In shrink wrap.
The number of pallets is determined by the quantity and seed mixes in your order. We can tell you how many pallets your order will arrive on at the time of ordering. It is important that you request a tail-lift service if you do not have the means to unload a pallet from the delivery vehicle at the delivery address.
All orders qualify for free, 48-72 hour delivery.
Orders made directly with Greenland Seeds over the phone or by email can be delivered to any Mainland UK address.

Yes, drop-shipping is our speciality. We can deliver orders directly to your end customer.

For customised packaging, there is a minimum order of 5000 bags which can be of the same size bags, or a combination of sizes. Customised bags belong to you once they have been paid for in full. We can store them on your behalf at the Greenland Seed warehouse.
Different minimum order amounts apply to filling your customised packaging with seed and delivery. Please see FAQ ‘What is the minimum order?’ for details.
