A premium hardwearing grass seed mixture suitable for use on a variety of summer sports surfaces.
This mixture is predominantly for use on tennis courts but can also be used on other sporting surfaces such as cricket squares, golf tees and golfing greens. Our Summer Sports Seed creates a dense sward with a fine texture to the grass; for optimum playing surfaces which can be regularly and closely mown.
Used by both professional and amateur clubs, this mixture has been proven to provide a high-quality playing surface area that can withstand the impact of feet and balls with ease, whilst also looking the part.
This mixture contains a blend of perennial ryegrasses and fescues which provide the durability required whilst also giving a pristine appearance throughout the warmer summer months.
As an example, the average tennis court is 490 metres squared, therefore we recommend that one 20kg pack of our Summer Sports Pitch Mixture would be enough to establish a tennis court. One 10kg bag is enough to renovate a tennis court (or equivalent sporting surface area).

Slender Creeping Red Fescue
Shade tolerant creeping plant that creates a dense turf. Tolerates close mowing for a finer finish.
Creeping Red Fescue
Grows well in the shade, drought tolerant, dry temperature tolerant, deep rooting system, needs moist soil, but once established it is a very strong grass type.
Chewings Fescue
Grows well in the shade, drought tolerant, blends well with any grass, can be mown lower, capable of growing in low fertility areas, dry temperature tolerant.
Dwarf Amenity Ryegrass
hardwearing, tough, drought tolerant, quick to establish, will tolerate close mowing to create a dense turf.
