How to use our Greenland Seeds Patch & Repair Grass Seed

Sowing:
For New Lawns – This product comes in a small quantity and is to be used for overseeding bare patches. For new lawns we recommend using our Hardwear Lawn.

For Overseeding (scattering grass seeds on to existing lawns) – We recommend a sowing rate of 35g per square metre. [2kg covers approximately 60 metres squared].

Tips:
This mix contains grass varieties which are quick to germinate and establish so long as soil temperatures are around 7 degrees celcius. Germination in the right conditions, should occur between 7 and 21 days after sowing. Seed can be hand sown.

Watering:
The areas you oversow must be kept moist. If there has been no rainfall then you must water your lawn after a couple of days of oversowing.

Mowing:
Raise the cutting height for the first few cuts and then reduce the cutting height down as the areas develop.

Feeding:
It is highly recommended that you feed the lawn in advance of overseeding so as to prepare the soil for optimum results. A pre-seeding fertiliser is ideal as it can be applied a few days before overseeding.
